Week 19
And so cute, I couldn’t pick just one!!
And so cute, I couldn’t pick just one!!
Jodi’s annual team meeting took place this week. Kenzie went to the managers’ dinner Wednesday night and then visited the office on Thursday so she could meet all of the people who gave her great presents before she was born. On Friday, several of the team members took a short trip to Multnomah Falls and Kenzie was able to tag along.
Since the day we brought Kenzie home, Tucker has been very careful around her. For the first few weeks when she would cry, he would make sure we heard her. Now we have her blanket in the middle of the living room where she spends tummy time. He is always very good about walking around and not over her. He will lay down close to the blanket for attention, but never too close. Kenzie has started to really watch him closely.
And now we have lots of room if we decide to get more chicks!
And already socially aware!
I think Kenzie was the youngest participant in today’s NOH8 photo shoot; a silent protest against California’s Prop. 8. We’ll post the official picture once we receive it in a few weeks.
Now that Kenzie is a big girl, she doesn’t need her car seat in the shopping cart anymore. Here she is chillin’ in Cosco with just her shopping cart cover.
Kenzie had her four month check up today and all is going well. She weighs 15 1/2 pounds and is 25 inches long, in the 75th percentile for her age. The doctor asked if she was showing any indication that she might roll. Any indication? I said she is a roly-poly! Then came the part we weren’t looking forward to. The nurse came in with two shots. But Kenzie did great! She cried for just a few seconds and then after I picked her up, she looked at the nurse and gave her a big smile.
Kenzie hasn’t been her happy, smiley self the last two days due to a diaper rash. Tonight, she got to talk to her grandmas in California via Skype, and that made her smile!!
