Walk in the snow
adminEven though there’s still a bunch of snow on the ground, the skies were clear today so we decided to bundle up and go for a walk.
We stopped to look for beavers at the beaver dam, but Kenzie wasn’t very impressed.
Kenzie found her hand!
It’s so neat to watch Kenzie develop new skills each week. This week she is keeping us entertained by watching her hand! She is realizing that she has control over it, reaching out and grabbing toys. She also reached out to touch Brad’s beard several times! Here she is ‘flexing’ her new skills!
Staying home with Kenzie for the past three months has been amazing and it’s gone by so fast. Many said the best strategy is to sleep when the baby sleeps. That worked some of the time but I really needed to find something to fill the rest of the time…that’s when I discovered Pinterest! It started with ideas for pictures we should capture of Kenzie during her first few weeks, but then it expanded into a large variety of crafts and activities. Here are a few of projects I completed…

Oregon Zoo
Although a little cold, it was a clear day so we headed out to the zoo!
The Lip
When Kenzie gets frustrated or sad, she’ll give us a one minute warning before the real crying starts… The Lip!!!
Week 11
We decided to be a little lazy today and stay in our pajamas for this week’s picture.
And since Kenzie will start attending her center in about a week, we’re working on our floor time…
It’s snowing again!
The forecast called for a ‘light dusting’. I think this is the most snow in one night we’ve seen all winter!
Seattle
While in Seattle, we took the ferry to Bambridge Island to have lunch at Madison Diner (a recommendation from Diners, Drive ins, and Dives).
