We went to our first concert at the zoo. It was a beautiful day and a great venue. We had fun playing with some finger puppets before the show started.

We had a new set of professional pictures taken. Kenzie definitely loves to smile for the camera!
And hard to keep her in one place – this was a two man job this week!
Look who is almost standing in her crib! She was so excited to look over the railing that I couldn’t get a picture without her bouncing unless she was chewing in the rail (hence all the blurr). We had to lower her mattress… Only one more notch to go before we have to buy a big girl bed!
She’s only been crawling for a couple of days but there’s no stopping her now!
I think the two teeth are catching up with Kenzie; her teacher called today and said she had a temperature of 101.2 and was generally pretty fussy, which is just not like her! A little baby Tylenol and some naps with Mom and Dad definitely helped.
Well, we learned from yesterday – the shows before 5pm are just too hot so we stayed close to camp until the last two: Eden’s Edge and Dierks Bentley. Overall, a very hot weekend but we caught a few good shows!
It’s 101 degrees today – way too hot to sit in the sun for a concert so we skipped the early afternoon acts and hung out in the shade until it cooled off. Kenzie took a ride on the swing for the first time! On the playlist for tonight: Neal McCoy, Brantley Gilbert, Kentucky Headhunters, & Wynonna.
Kenzie got to rock out to the Charlie Daniels Band but just couldn’t stay awake for Rascal Flatts!
As it seems with most of our camping trips, we hit a detour due to troubles with the truck – it started shaking in Salem, so now we’re sidelined at a Ford dealer while they diagnose the issues…
Ouch!!! 3 hours and $1,000 later, we’re back on the road! Nothing like a maraca to pass the time.
