Since all of our centers were closed for training today, Kenzie got to go to work with mom. She was so excited to see her old Assistant Director, Ms. Jess, and her friend Amanda. Jodi’s team had Frozen themed activities, so after watching the movie, Kenzie made a marshmallow Olaf!
We finally got to cash in one of Brad’s Christmas presents – a Segway tour through downtown Portland! We saw many amazing sites – fountains, parks, Portland State University, bubblers, and Starbucks! It was pretty cool to ride over the bridges and along the water front.
Today was moving day. The chicks went from their starter cage in the shop out to the chicken coop to live with the big boys (or big girls in this case). We separated the cage into to areas until they get a little bigger, but at least they can meet the big chickens and be out on the grass. One of the neatest things is watching them on grass the first time checking out the real world.
Since Dad is out of town this weekend, Kenzie and I ventured out to a local community event at the Hopkins forest. Kenzie and I made a birdhouse, paper, and painted some wood ornaments.
Jodi is now an official member of the Mountain Wave search and rescue group. Here’s her new rescue rig…
