She’s two and a half today!
Kenzie said, “My Mickie is here!” 🙂
A few weeks ago, someone posted a notice for an auction on Instagram. A family tragically lost their 3 year old son and people around the country were donating goods and services to help raise money to help with their expenses so I bid on a photo session here in Portland. We’ve only had our pictures taken at Picture People so having someone follow us around on the farm was a new experience. We should have the pictures back in about a week and we’re looking forward to sharing them!
Every day she says, “I need to say goodbye to my friends.” So cute…
It may not be as warm as Southern California but the scenery is sure nice! Â This weekend Jodi took her new paddleboard out for the first time. Â We packed up the motorhome, strapped the paddle board to the car, and went to Beverly Beach. Â The locals directed us just down the road to Olalla Reservoir. Â Kenzie was not very excited about getting on the board, but she did like playing in the water A LOT. Â So Jodi headed out on her own and tooled all around the lake.
I was not nearly as good on the board. Â But Kenzie and Jodi had a good time watching me almost go in the water…
And as we passed through Newport we couldn’t help but notice the huge plume of black smoke coming from a training burn the Newport Fire Department was conducting.  We had to drop by and check it out.  It’s probably pretty warped, but a fully engulfed structure fire brings back a lot of good memories for Jodi and I 🙂
We found out today that one of Kenzie’s friends, Bralen, will be moving to another center at the end of the month. Bralen was one of just a few who were here when Kenzie started at this center over 2 years ago and their birthdays are just 1 day apart! The other boy in these pictures is Sawyer. He was also at the center when Kenzie started!
When I picked Kenzie up from school today, Ms. Sue Ann told me a great story: earlier in the day, she tried to get Emily to join the older music class. She didn’t want to go. After some additional attempts to persuade her, Kenzie finally said, “come on! Let’s go!” So Emily agreed to try out the older class if Kenzie went with her! So cute!
A call for a car accident toned out and about the same time Kenzie and I were leaving for school this morning. Kenzie got to see daddy driving the firetruck! In her words, “daddy’s going to help somebody because a car got bonked!”
We have our very first edible food from the garden – two ripe strawberries!
I love when Pinterest projects turn out well! The first is A craft project with Kenzie and the second is a bird bath/bee water bowl.
