Skid Truck Training

Yesterday Brad had a chance to go the state training center and spend some time driving the skid training truck.  Great practice learning how to handle driving in icy weather as well as unexpected skidding.  And it’s just a lot of fun spinning out in a 25,000 pound truck!

Surfin USA

This week is beach week at Kenzie’s center so Ms. Anita drew chalk surfboards on the ground so the kids could surf. Here are Kenzie and Sawyer hangin 10. Sad news – just found out Sawyer will also be leaving in a few weeks. All of Kenzie’s first friends are leaving!

Busy Garden Weekend

Between last weekend and this one, we picked about 20 pounds of cherries, Brad made about 5 gallons of chocolate cherry ice cream, and I canned two batches of Cherry jam and cherries in light syrup! There’s probably another 20 pounds still on the tree! In addition, Kenzie had breakfast in the garden – lots of sugar snap peas right off the vine! Kenzie also found 2 or 3 ripe blueberries… Looks like we’ll be picking and canning blueberries next weekend.

8:45 pm update: 3rd round of cherry picking yielded over 25 pounds and we STILL didn’t get them all!
