A few hours ago, someone posted that there was an attempted robbery down at the Fir (now known as Bailey’s). Within a few hours, someone else posted this picture of the suspect walking through the woods behind the Elwood fire station (pretty much right behind our house!). Brad decided to take a little drive down to the station only to find the Elwood lynch mob gathered and ready to take action!!!
It was a hot day but we made it out to practice our search techniques, a little GPS practice, and tromping through the the blackberry bramble!
hood strawberries are in season so I had to pick up a flat for my first batch of jam – strawberry vanilla! I had a little help…
Dylan’s last day of preschool so we stopped by for some bugers, hot dogs and cupcakes!
brad had to work late so Kenzie and I set up a hot date with Elmo!
We had a brief stay in New York before heading home to Portland. Kenzie absolutely LOVED FAO Schwartz and had to hug nearly every animal before choosing Tiger. Then we went on a horse drawn carriage ride through Central Park with a horse named Jimmy.

Back in Venice and time to get off the ship. We ran into Kenzie’s friend, Gideon, as we got off the ship. Since we had a full day in Venice, we just had to visit our favorite gelato place just one last time!
