DC
meetings were in full swing today but this is Amanda’s first time in DC so we made it out to the White House and the Lincoln memorial before we were thoroughly frozen and had to return to the hotel.

Kenzie and Daddy went to Build a Bear today because Snowflakes stitching was coming apart and need a repair. We got him all taken care of, but it turns out it’s hard to leave Build a Bear without buying ANOTHER stuffed animal. She really wanted a puppy. Kenzie had fun building the puppy, but the highlight turned out to be when the machine ran out of stuffing and the lady let her help refill it. She thought that was amazing!
got home last night and heard a very distinct ‘hiss’ coming from a tire. Thankfully it wasn’t completely flat this morning so we limped our way to Les Scwaab for breakfast.
(Late post from 2/11)
Kenzie’s music teacher, Ms. Sue Ann, said that Kenzie did an amazing job of singing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” solo! She said it took great courage, bravery, and self confidence.
Two days a year, our centers close for staff training. During those days, employees are encouraged to bring their kids to work! Kenzie had a great time with the other kids.
I got to go on my very fist ground search! A two and a half hour drive to Mount Adams, five hours of hiking through the forest and vine maple, all the while following our Human remains dog Ava.
First time Kenzie is practicing her letters and she’s doing great! Oh, don’t pay attention to the outfit…. Brad dressed her today!
The weather this winter has been so nice and we’ve had quite a few weekends with no rain at all. So this weekend we decided to get out and go to the zoo. The animals were out too were coming right up to where we could see them. Then we ended the day with a train ride where Kenzie practiced her Queens Wave to everyone walking along outside.
With a high of 61 and no rain in sight, we took a trip to the zoo.
