Day 3 in Rome
Brad, Cindi, and Jean started off the day by going to the coliseum and Jodi and Kenzie met up with them and went to the Piazza Navona. Drinking from the little fountains and throwing coins in the big ones! Then, on to the Pantheon.

today started with a trip to the Vatican then we split up so Jodi and Brad could take a Segway tour. It was a great way to see all the major sites in under 3 hours!
We decided to skip one day in Florence for an extra day in Venice and we were really glad we did. We had a great apartment at a great price and it gave us time to wander without feeling rushed.
We took the water bus to the train station and took the bullet train to Rome.
Once in Rome, Jodi and Brad went to a restaurant with no menu. Their sign says, “you’ll eat what we feed you.” Here’s the woman behind the whole meal – it was great!
We took a quick side trip to a highly recommended bookstore and, WOW! It was quite the experience! If you are ever in Venezia, we highly recommend you search out Libreria Acqua Alta Di Frizzo Luigi!
We made our way back to Bascilica Di San Marcos and we went inside this time. Elsa came along too!
Next up was a trip to Murano island, famous for their glass.
Today we chased some pigeons to burn energy. We made it to the de Vinci museum just as they closed for the day so Kenzie found a seat on the front steps to enjoy some freshe fruit. Then we made our way to the place where they make gondolas and has some great gelato nearby. We finished up the day with our own gondola ride and dinner in the courtyard right below our apartment.
Kenzie is an amazing traveler! 1 red eye from Portland to Detroit, followed by a short flight to New York then hanging out in JFK for another overnight flight. She is so easygoing. Meeting up with Magas definitely helps keep spirits high.
Kenzie did amazing on the 7 1/2 hour flight to Madrid but crashed in the airport waiting for our last 2 hour flight to Venice. This kid was born to travel!
The last leg of our trip to Italy was the most exciting and Kenzie slept through it all. A gentleman passed out as we were about to take off. Brad had to make his way back from 1st class to assist and help stabilize the gentleman until the medics arrived.
someone is a little tired as we check in to our red eye and the first of four flights to Venice.
first time coloring Easter eggs.
