Electronics Heaven!

WOW! Brad is in heaven. We’re at Yodobashi-Akihabara in Tokyo where they have the biggest selection of computers and electronics we’ve ever seen. Picture 6 floors, each floor about the size of Costco. For perspective this picture is just the headphone section. And he found a remote controlled submersible drone for watching and feeding your goldfish.

1st Day in Tokyo

We only had a few hours to explore the town after checking in to the hotel, and we quickly noticed that it is HUGE! And very different from Kyoto or Kanazawa.

The city is full of bright signs and huge department stores. They even had an awesome Disney store. We found a cute hole in the wall place to eat ramen- the place only fit 10 people! it’s common to place your order on a machine before sitting down.

Takayama

Takayama is a cute little town. We walked through the morning market and the learned how to make rice crackers. We also had a traditional lunch (on the floor, no shoes) in a very popular little restaurant.

Our Route in Japan

Here’s the route we’re taking while in Japan:

We landed in Osaka then took a train to Kyoto. We spent three nights there then took a train to Kanazawa, where we spent one night. The next morning, we were up early and back on a train to Tokayama, where we plan to stay one day. After that, it’s back on the train for our last three days in Tokyo.
