Kindergarten Eve
Since today is the last day of summer and the last day before Kindergarten, we made it a special day. Kenzie picked lunch at Chuck E. Cheese and then a trip to the splash pad. She also had her favorite dinner with her favorite dinner buddy… Tigger!
Kindergarten open house
Kenzie met Miss Shannon, her kindergarten teacher, today. She’s excited to start on Tuesday
Trip to San Diego and Orange County
This week I was in San Diego and Orange County for a few days meeting with potential clients for my IT consulting business, as well as catching up with some great old friends.
On Friday night I stayed at a hotel in downtown San Diego. I used to know that city pretty well from when I went to school at UC San Diego and worked downtown driving horse drawn carriages throughout college. But as I walked around that evening I couldn’t believe how much things had changed. I walked by the barn that we used stable the horses in (the old San Diego Police Station) and found that it’s now a Cheesecake Factory. I had to go in, and it was pretty strange remember all of the horses that were stabled in the same space that now full of tables and booths.
Molalla River Academy
We stopped by Kenzie school to walk around campus and get comfortable with the layout. She gets to meet her teacher next Friday and then school starts on the fifth! Kenzie says it’s not perfect, but it’s pretty cool and she’s excited to start.
The Eclipse from JB Ranch
Safety first! Kenzie wanted to make sure the animals were safe, too!
