…They want to study her brain! Actually, Kenzie has been in an ADHD study since she was about 4 month I.T. (In tummy). This time, they wanted to do an MRI. No drugs or anesthesia, just by trying to time it near her normal nap time. We were skeptical but thought we’d give it a try. Although it took a while and TWO bottles, she did finally fall asleep. The researcher slipped into the room, put earplugs in Kenzie’s ears, and then covered them with noise canceling head phones. We got her all snuggled in to the bed on the MRI and they started the process. Unfortunately, Kenzie woke up after the first scan. We may try again a different day, but it was a very interesting experience. So glad this was an elective procedure – I couldn’t imagine how awful it would be to do this under other circumstances.
