At the last minute we decided to extend our trip by heading east into Cody instead of heading back the way we came. We packed up and headed out bright and early this morning. The quickest route to Cody took us back in the south entrance of Yellowstone then out through the east- and it turned out to be our best trip through the park! We passed several elk and buffalo…. Or should I say, they passed us!
